Hi, love the mod !
After some time in the game I can no longer access the command points tree. I just see the points building up but I can do nothing with them. This is the same if I choose a doctrine, which I did do in one game, and got a couple of things unlocked then I could no longer access the unlocks overlay menu. I have the mod on Steam. Latest COH2 version. Latest version of mod through workshop. American infantry and Wehrmacht.

Hi Res:
American infantry doctrine and Wehrmacht factions have unfinished tech trees. The only factions with 16 abilities tech trees are:
a. SS Scorched Earth/SS Wunderwaffe/SS Luftwaffe in OKW.
b. Airborne/Armored Doctrine in American side.
I dont know if this what you say or you have a different problem. Could you talk more about your bug.

Oh, I see. Thanks. I must have chosen the one that does not have a tree ! Although the same thing happened with a tree that was available. Anyway I will test again and get a few screen shots.

I’m not sure if we understand your problem(s) right, but could it be that you do not have our win condition pack?
Have a look in here: Wikinger Installation GuideIf this solves your problem please let us know. If it doesn’t, then please provide some screenshots.

Thanks yes. That works so far now. I chose OKW and can now see the Luftwaffe doctrine tree. It should probably be made more clear somewhere what trees are available/finished. Maybe you need some kind of graphic to show this ?
Another place where the confusion set in was how fiddly COH2 is for mods compared to COH1. In COH1 it’s just a case of starting the mod with it’s shortcut and everything is then setup. But in COH2 there are multiple settings to consider – select mod, skins, win doctrine, commanders. I wonder if there’s a way just to automatically set everything to some preset selections ? Otherwise good stuff. I realise this could be a limitation of COH2.

We have graphics on all the steam pages to show how far along the process we are.
also we’re updating the descriptions on the doctrine panels so that it is clearer as to what is what and when development is planned.
in regards to preset loadouts, sadly we’ve done everything we can to simplify it – you can leave commanders on and Wikinger auto removes them, that’s about all we can do though.
feel free to suggest what we can improve on and we will do our best

Oh, I must have missed those graphics. I’ll have a look. The rest is great.
One thing. I don’t seem to be able to choose a doctrine to check what’s in it and then cancel to choose another one before committing. Unless I’ve missed something again.

There’s no “hover” mechanic for custom UI – we’re working on better doctrine descriptions at the moment. But also that is a big part of what this site is about, we’ve got the tech tree previews and faction guides (both official and community) here.

OK, thanks I’ll check the tech tree’s out on the site.
After getting the UI to work I saved the game. After loading it again I am unable to bring up that portion of the UI by clicking on the circle with the command points in it (this is the correct way of doing it I believe).
I have checked the mod is setup properly. See my attached screen shots.

It’s possible this mod is not compatible with saving and reloading where you left off. From your screenshots it looks like you have all the necessary files though.
Are you having any issues other than save and reload?

Hi. No. No other issues apart from one’s to do with unfinished tech trees as described above. I tend to be an AI only player because I have to be able to pause the game a lot. If that’s the issue I hope it can be fixed unless this is exclusively a PvP mod. For example I don’t know if the AI has been altered to use the new tech trees.
