      i think that right now, the current meta, for the early game at least, revolves around saving munitions for a HMG instead of aggressive plays with grenades and such. i think that one way to resolve this would be a decrease of standard grenade cost by 10 munitions for all, and a decrease in the base movement speed and deploy/undeploy times of HMGs would help, maybe also standardizing the arc of fire/cone of fire for all HMGs to be the same as the MG-34 would help make the early game a bit more aggression focus. if it would be possible, i think all standard infantry should have their standard nade replaced by a grenade assault once they reach 3 veterancy levels, to help them stand up to elite inf with abilities that still pose a threat too them. these changes are small and easy to make and should help mix up the “meta” thing to do early game a little bit.

      Hi Nick:

      Well the problem with your proposal is, we already were in this location some years ago. Lets me explain better.

      a. HMG arc of fire & deploy times: a lot of people in the past complain because german heavy machine guns were too deadly. They have better RPM and suppression. We wanted to be fair and give some historical facts around them. The arc of fire and set up times are now measured taking in consideration historical facts.

      b. Cheaper grenades: we also had lower grenade prices but this generate abuse. With lower price grenades players spam them.

      The idea about assault grenade is not bad at all. I think it could be ok.

      would it be possible to increase the tier of the HMG then? or the cost of them? or reduce the number of men crewing them? they just seem to be the thing to do to win in PVP games, and it really prevents counter attacks early game. i think reducing the traverse time of the HMG, or increasing the aim time in general, so it takes longer to kill infantry, and doesnt instantly suppress them once they are within the arc of fire, would be a nice change. for historical reasoning, i can see the vickers taking longer to aim- it has a weighty water cooled barrel which might affect its ability to turn to face targets on the edge of fire quickly, and to aim the entire gun itself.

      1. cheaper grenade imo gonna make the game all about spamming grenade.
      2. HMG increasing the aim time is a good idea but I think with the completed of some elite doctrine with smoke and mortar and plenty of things can counter a HMG, personally I am fine with the HMG right now 😀
