    Bit of a side note, but really would like to hear more on #4. While I don’t feel German infantry is weak early game (quite the opposite sometimes), I’d like to hear more on how early game infantry is balanced. Especially since most have bolt actions, how do say, Volks compare to Conscripts to British Sappers?

    Hah, yeah we generally do a hybrid PVP model. Basically have 3 friends (occasionally a 4th joins), so we need AI to balance it out. Even if we have 2v2 the skill level difference means we need it.

    I’ve tried checking the games list, but rarely do we find a ready to join MP game.

    , interesting on your point for conquest. I originally thought it would be better than VP, as it incentives the AI to suicide rush points less. My main other complaint with the AI, even on default maps (e.g. Gilroy’s Harbor) is that when confronted with a linear front, it will just charge. On larger maps it can slip through, but on smaller ones it either crushes you with numbers or burns its resources against defensive positions.

    Is there a list of Wikinger approved maps? My rule has been to do only 4+ star steam rated maps.

    I was playing a few different ones, which do you feel is the low quality one?

    Bit off topic, but also noticed that some maps have guns on the ground you can pick up. Both infantry weapons (e.g. lmg42) and equipment (e.g. Vickers). Do guns that spawn with the map have worse stats than normal Wiking ones? I’ve definitely noticed it with equipment, but not sure about the infantry weapons.

    Doing a clean install of the game seemed to help, didn’t have any crashes on my last session. Granted only 1.5 hours. I’m also trying to RMA my PSU as it failed one power test.

    Wehrmacht AI is actually worse (both overall, and in this specific bug). Here is an imgur link showing this. https://imgur.com/a/kJ5vyGM

    Overall, I’ve found most AIs to be slow caping (and consequently attacking). However, the Soviet AI in particular is leagues ahead of the German AI. It does eventually attack, and around early middle game onwards it does far better.

    I rarely, but did have crashes before. It’s just gone up exponentially since. I thought drivers too and recently got the latest set from nVidia, but crashed twice over a 1.5 hour session.

    I’ll try the nuclear option tonight. Thanks MeatShield.

    Thanks Olhaussen. Memory must be playing tricks on me, the Pak40 has been fine when I played again 🙂

    How is the Puma supposed to fair vs half tracks? The gun seems ok (~3ish shots?) but the armor is thin vs 50cals making it a risk to attack Soviet halftracks.

    @Death kitty, why do you think CW armor is OP right now? I’m a big fan of your doctrine guides, would be great to have a quick overview of why you’ve built the power ranking the way you have so far. Think we’d learn a lot with your current thinking.

    Ah good to know. Yeah in my case 2 17pdrs did not reappear at full squad health. I will take a screenshot next time.

    I haven’t played much against US so cannot comment. The shots dont bounce off, they just dont kill it. Often it takes 2-3 shots.

    Given how fast a half track is, if the first shot doesnt kill it is likely to flank and win.

    How do you use an ambulance to recover the gun? do you mean just reinforce the squad?

    I have retreated them to HQ and reinforced it back to full health before but the gun does not appear. Is the ambulance different?

    Stoked to hear it’s in the pipeline! I’ve noticed the same thing with the AA half track (US and Soviet versions). Always infuriating to see the Puma die to that.

    It’s happened to a lesser degree with other 50Cal half tracks. E.g. the Soviet Artillery observer kills Wehr light vehicles with ease.

    Any video in particular you’re thinking of? Will need to watch and learn. Took a peek at game 63 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra5KJgpGTH4) seems he lost the Puma early on.

    I suppose this will also handle the Soviet half track abilities? So far I was finding my best counter were grenadiers with the AT rifle. (also curious, is the AT rifle an upgrade that makes infantry on infantry weaker?)
