Right now, Repple depple is a bit too good. i heard a lot of people dont like too fight against it, and its frustrating too fight against. also, something i noticed when using it is that, it can stack with normal ambulances. as in, you can send out a horde with repple depple, take loses, instantly get new full squads, then your medics go out and recover the wounded, and get more free squads. this is probably unintended. not too mention ive heard some complaints that the idea of being rewarded for sacrificing squads isnt as “fitting” with the US faction, rather, it would be more thematically fitting in the soviets. but repple depple going too soviets could be another topic all together.
What im suggesting, is that, instead of repple depple, the US gets a unique ambulance, that can get out a new squad with 3 or 4 recovered, like how frei gets a 9 man reservetrupp for recovering 6 wounded, and 3 medics recovering wounded. something like a medical halftrack. replaces the old ambulance and can only have it, or the old ambulance on the field. this would help the doc replace losses but not so absurdly as it did with repple depple, since it happens a lot slower and medics can only recover so many wounded in a certain time before they expire, so it would be better fitted for the trickle of wounded that come in normal combat and not encourage mass horde assaults.

Repple Depple has been buffed multiple times due to constant complaints about how useless it was.
now it’s OP?
i agree something should be done to stop the RD plus Ambulance exploit, will look in to it, thanks.

Its a case of us not being creative enough. We always saw it as a way to nullify causalities to infantry heavy play styles in the late-game. Instead, what people have done is make RD their first unlock, build 4-5 squads of engineers, and throw them into infantry or MG’s to get free riflemen, and then just drown people in garands, which you can do really little against. Especially one rifle nades and free BARs come into play.

well, personally i always thought it was OK, balance wise. but other people may not agree with me. but i also heard that, having so many squads ends up being laggy in game anyways, regardless if its balanced or not. i think it gives US inf an option for massed inf, which i dont mind since it could use it, but i made another post for giving US inf better inf options, just cause, well, sending mass ammounts of infantry too die just too get more doesnt feel fitting, either way, and is laggy even if it does work,. ill admit, this can be a low priority issue since its msotly fine ingame imo, but its just a way of re-working it with a bit more…. ethical way, thats more fitting too how too play US inf gameplay wise aswell. riflemen squads are the most costly of all the base allied infantry squads, so, having them be the ones most encouraged too take losses, feels… weird, is all.
