I’d like to briefly share my views on the Luftwaffe doctrine.
Fallschirmjägers:
The portraits are very good, but i miss the iconic collar patches as well as possibly the blue shirts as seen in the second picture (The first one is also quite good camouflage):
Also: Despite the officer’s ability to call for supplies (which has limited range anyway) i found the need to further having to upgrade the units to acquire more FG-42 quite odd. After all, they were probably prepared before being dropped off.
Their ranks i had imagined would be equivalent of Obergefreiter :
Luftwaffe Pioneers:Similarly to other doctrines (such as panzergrenadiers unit from Feuerwehr doc), they could have this icon above the unit to show their rank which is correctly depicted in their portraits. Equivalent –> Gefreiter: (Collar patch and the corresponding icon)
Luftwaffe-Panzerjäger “Panzerknacker”:
Similarly to other AT infantry units, they could use the following. Equivalent: Hauptgefreiter/Stabsgefreiter :(if you’d like the diamond one as u did with other units)
Luftwaffe Officers:
I’m sorry in advance that i’ll only give you a general idea and not going into too much specifics.
We currently have a Generalleutnant which in my opinion is far too high of a rank as to just give them an MP40 and let them charge into battle or even near it. I’d suggest lowering his rank to that of a major for example and it could function as a similar officer as in other factions with some exceptions such as supply call etc.
(Note: Unless i’m mistaken this unit has an inaccurate icon using the one of a General der Fallschirmtruppe not Generalleutnant–> 1st picture: current in use, 2nd picture: Generalleutnant -icon)
On the other hand, one of my ideas was to allow the option of calling in (either through the original buildable way or by the same way as you do in the case of Manteuffel – Feuerwehr doctrine)a 2nd, higher ranked officer (colonel for example) with a distinct, cool, and iconic blue Luftwaffe Officer Uniform like this (portrait) :
This unit would stay back and supervise the operation, maybe calling in possible air strikes/reinforcements and/or possibly have a larger field of view etc, but also would have more cost (or be more rare) as well as more valuable than the other lets say…lower ranked combat/field officer.
What do you think?
Ty for reading:)

Nice job on the post. A lot of effort went in to this I can see.
I like the idea of changing to Luftwaffe collar tabs and once we have finished the last 4 doctrines we will definitely do some tweaking of the very early doctrines that we modded.
Regarding the Officer, he was based on General-Leutnant Richard Schimpf, commander of the famous 3rd Fallschirmjäger Division in Normandy until severely wounded at Falaise.
