Hello there!
If You don’t mind, I will spread some rumors about Company of Heroes 3 which might come out in the future. A couple of months ago, I’ve received an email from Relic with request to complete a 5 minute survey. I usually ignore such letters and consider them as spam but this time I have managed to complete this quick 5 minute survey (it actually took me 30 minutes to complete it). Most of the questions were about what games do I like to play, how much I play Company of Heroes, why I like it or don’t like it and what I am expecting to see in new Company of Heroes 3. But what really stuck in my mind was the question about where and when the next part of this franchise should be set. There were four choices given and I had to rate them from the best to the worst. As I can remember, there were such choices: Battle of France (1940), African Campaign (1940-1943), Battle of the Mediterranean (1940-1945) and Fall of Germany (1945). If it was an official survey then it seems that Relic got bored of cold climate and winters of Eastern Front (those winters seemed to be much colder in-game than in reality). It also seems like bad news to those who wants to see Company of Heroes based in Pacific. For me personally, it would be nice to see a campaign set in Africa and at the same time at Mediterranean (endless deserts might get boring).
In my opinion, since the moment when the development of Company of Heroes 3 will start, there will be no more new official content for Company of Heroes 2 (maybe only minor updates). In such case, maybe Relic will make Company of Heroes 2 much more friendly to modding just like Company of Heroes 1 is?
What do You think about it? Feel free to share Your opinion and ideas on this topic.
Have a nice day!

Hi Memel: Yes we are really counting on that. When Coh3 see the light then Relic will not put too much attention on Coh2 then we could have a chance to have a better tool.

Well, most of us have taken part in the poll and I remember some of the questions as well, but also with the option to choose the pacific for coh3.
But we have to consider that Relic is very busy right now – they have to build the new Age of Empires and will earn a ton of money in that. It is a massive game with a way bigger community compared to company of heroes.
So my guess would be that Relic puts all of their ressources into AoE, also when the game is public it will not end – bugfixes and patches and so on…. and after some time (probably years from now on) they will start to work on CoH 3.
I loved Age of Empires II and 3, so hopefully Relic will grow with that AoE-project and learn a few things that they could bring into Company of Heroes 3 as well.
