ParticipantHello
This has been a frequent topic for discussion in my group of friends who play the mod. The problem is the quite prominent capacity of AB doctrine’s air power. They have the greatest variety of strikes (strafe, bombs, rockets, supremacy), they do not need specific call-in unit to direct the strikes (every other doctrine that has air power has a specific air command unit, tank or officer) and to top it all off, they can chain these airstrikes (meaning airstrikes do not have a shared cooldown, unlike other air power doctrines). You can also call them anywhere to the map provided you have LOS.
The template has been seemingly copied 1 to 1 from the vanilla game, which explains the features. The problem remains that as it is the AB strikes are without rival by far, no other doctrine comes close. Luftwaffe (Axis dedicated air power doctrine) airstrikes are a joke in comparison.
The idea behind this post is to suggest to balance the airstrikes somehow by adding cooldown and a liaison officer or vehicle, which has a limited range to call the strikes from. Therefore it could also be possible to negate the air power by killing the said unit. I would ask the devs to look into this to make the air strikes of AB a little tamer. Thank you for reading!

KeymasterHi Gaz, US Airborne was a very early doctrine to be modded before we added the requirement for on map liaison officers. They will be changed eventually to match the airstrikes in other factions.
