Some things I would like to see in the next patch, after games/discussions with khorne, lorarius and storm:
in general: Mortars are way to accurate.
First some nerfs:
50 cal gets moved to teir 2, I think everyone can agree on this, it makes German early vehicles useless, can kill luchs in 2 belts, does not belong in early game
make the infantry doc mortar emplacement easier to kill: 1 satchel charge and bundled nade should kill it, it currently doesn’t.
Then buffs:
US struggles with spotting German positions and snipers and reacting axis pushes, its recon options need a buff:
Infantry doc should get a spotter by going replacement depo: there is no reason you have to go rangers, 4 cp to unlock a spotter squad. plz give them a 1st division spotter squad.
Armor doc and the M20: the binocular ability is useless: it cost munitions, lock the vehicle in place prevents the vehicle from rotation (if you spot anything you are merely lucky) compared to the German snipers, who have NONE of these restrictions while killing and suppressing unit. put it on a toggle, and give the ability also to the command M20 that unlocks with armor doc.
US need a flat out better manpower rate: its infantry take too much manpower to reinforce and your are going to lose models b/c axis infantry are just better. also when axis infantry reach 4-5 levels of veteran, they destroy riflemen that can keep up, and us riflemen usually don’t. US in supposed to reflect working with multiple but inexperienced units that can be easily replace, but currently, they get forced into a manpower deadlock, replacing losses, and losing any numerical superiority that the need to win. You cant force trades with the axis: you will lose more, and it will cost you far more to replace your losses. You will lose attrition with the Germans, unless you captured far more area in the early game.

“50 cal gets moved to teir 2, I think everyone can agree on this, it makes German early vehicles useless, can kill luchs in 2 belts, does not belong in early game”
It takes ~10 seconds to kill luchs with AP ammo loaded 😉
Also we have confirmed that .30 cal is better than .50 cal in early game, so I don’t know if you can call it a nerf or a buff 😉also:
1. Read the patch notes for 3.1.8……. Heavy mortars are getting nerfed (accuracy nerf)
2. Why are you making another thread about snipers and M20 while we have these:
http://www.wikingeretow.com/wikingerforum/topic/m20-utility-car-buff/http://www.wikingeretow.com/wikingerforum/topic/sniper-range/
US has no problems with manpower at all. What is the problem is the power of snipers and heavy mortars. These are getting nerfed, so it should be fixed.

how on earth is 30cal remotely better then 50cal? me and sean spent an hour yesterday testing the effectiveness of the 50cal, it just rapes infantry and can kill light vehicles without needing AP belts, where as the 30cal needs AP belt to damage the luchs.. in my opinion 50cal is strong as fuck and basically makes any “light” vehicle useless for the germans since every american gets access to them

I repeated some of my point to condense them in 1 thread.
btw by what metrics is the 30 cal better? the 50 suppresses faster, penetrates way more, does more damage.

I agree with everything, but the 50cal. I think it just needs to be worse against infatry, rather than moving it up. Is a tool thats meant to be effective againts early vehicle, and is the USAF tool to counter them.

Just a comment aside. An old soldier told me in the past about .50 cal vs infantry.
He said me “the .50 cal has less rate of fire but even in this way the suppressin vs infantry is high because nobody wants to be hit by a .50 cal round and lose a leg or arm”
