Howdy.
I am inquiring as to the possibility of the addition of a new support call in for the SAS Advanced Radio Team that can be air dropped in for the British Combined Operations doctrine.
I am aware that the RAF used from time to time Tallboy bombs for interdiction operations, destruction of enemy held railway lines, bridges, tunnels and so on. In addition, there was at least one strike on a railway tunnel which heavily impacted a German troop train operating in the region near the french town of Saumur.

Knowing that these behind the lines observers often worked with french resistance cells, and aware that that sub-faction is already part of the combined operations set, I think the following would be a good fit.
A new tactical aid call in for the SAS observation team that would allow them to designate a strike for a Tallboy bomb from a Lancaster. Note, this would be an off-map strike designed to be aimed at a bridge or tunnel, not specifically targeting units or anything on map. In addition, it would have a solid chance of hitting as these operations to the best of my knowledge were undertaken by well trained crews from specific squadrons.
Instead, it would deny the enemy the ability to call in reinforcements from off map, baring equipment and personnel that would be able to bypass this, such as paratroopers. In effect, the enemy would hear the sound of a four engine bomber, and then a V-1 type effect with the explosion and shocked silence, just off map behind their HQ, before being unable to bring in reinforcements for a certain amount of time, perhaps two minutes.
Understandably, this would have a very high cost to call in. Perhaps the max amount of ammo points, and perhaps some fuel as well.
Having posted this idea in the discord, it received some criticism, and so an alternative possibility would be to have the same idea and effect, but instead of the enemy being unable to bring in units of any sort, they would be instead forced to face increased costs to do so. I.E., when the effect is on, the enemy manpower, fuel and ammo intakes are either halved, or their costs for their units are doubled, whichever is easier for the developers.
I know that this dips from the tactical and into the operational side of things, although I think it’s acceptable what with the Germans receiving the V-1.

Hi mate, first than nothing thanks a lot for your time doing the post.
About your idea: the idea of blocking reinforcements is very good and we also talk about it with Death Kitty in the past for the americans airborne. Personally talking, I really like the idea but will be not easy to implement because this bombing will deny all call ins for certain amount of time.
Coh2 has the option of cross faction games like Axis vs Axis and Allies vs Allies then I should mod all call ins to be blocked by the strike on enemy factions. Then, in conclution:
- I am agree to have it in a future
- We need to discuss which faction is going to have, because I promice Death Kitty some improvements on Airborne and maybe the return of B-25 in this particular way.
We can contine the talking and maintain the topic alive preparing for the addition when I finish all doctrines in Wikinger
Regards, Olhausen
